The Sheltie Rescue Shop is a showcase of items available from various
Sheltie rescue groups. These groups take in hundreds of Shetland Sheepdogs every
year, supplying medical care and foster homes until they can be matched with the right
family. Some of the dogs are turned in by their owners, some are abandoned, and many
have been abused and neglected. For some, it is too late, and all rescue can do us
hold them in their arms and let them know that someone cared about them while they are
euthanized. It is hard work, a roller coaster ride full of heartbreak, frustration
and immeasurable joy. These groups do it because they love the dogs and the thought
of making a difference to one more dog is what keeps them going. Please support them
by purchasing some of these items, and in a small way, you will be making a difference,
too.

Lucy Blue arrived at Second Chance as a survivor of a “puppy mill”: a filthy facility where the “business philosophy” is to give breeding dogs as little care as possible in order to make as much profit as possible from their puppies.
