We purchased Megan in August of 1990 and she was our first show/breeding prospect.  She was shown some as a puppy and was our introduction into the world of conformation showing.  As she grew into adulthood, it became apparent that she was not going to be the beginning of our breeding program as we had hoped, so she was spayed shortly before her second birthday.

Megan continued on with her obedience training and earned her AKC Companion Dog (CD) title in three straight shows in April 1992.  In June 1992, Megan earned her United Kennel Club Companion Dog title (U-CD).  Her scores qualified her to compete in the Cycle Eastern Regional Obedience Championship in Richmond in 1993.

After working through some problems in Open, Megan earned her AKC Companion Dog Excellent (CDX) title in grand fashion, scoring back to back 196's at Richmond Dog Obedience Club's trials in May 1995.  

Megan had been training off an on for Utility over the past few years.   I had hoped to start showing her in Utility in the Spring of 2001, but in September 2000, she was diagnosed with inoperable bladder cancer.   She fought a hard battle, but on November 27, 2001, we helped her begin her journey  to the Rainbow Bridge.
